Thea O'Brien — Mundaring WA — Mundaring Physiotherapy Clinic

Thea O'Brien

Thea is the owner of the Mundaring Physiotherapy Clinic. She has worked here since 2006 and owner since 2010. After graduating from the University of Queensland she has worked in public hospitals and private clinics in Australia and the UK. Thea moved to the Perth Hills with her family in 1988 and lives locally. Life in the Mundaring and Perth Hills Region is a well kept secret.


Thea completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from Curtain University and is keen to keep up with the latest research through continuing education seminars and conferences, and professional webinars. She has been a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and various special interest groups it runs, since 1979. Thea has a keen interest in Advanced Pain management and helping you gain valuable skills to reduce your pain and improve your function, giving you independence. Individual Clinical Pilates Instruction, remedial exercises, manual therapies and dry needling are some of the tools we use to help you move well. Our goal is to empower you in ways to maintain and improve your ability to move well. 

Sarah Lawrence — Mundaring WA — Mundaring Physiotherapy Clinic

Sarah Lawrence


Sarah has a strong interest in sport and exercise, leading her to complete a Bachelor of Exercise Rehabilitation Science at UWA in 2007. She is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) - a qualification which focuses on helping people with complex health conditions to achieve their health goals safely through exercise, hydrotherapy and advanced pain management strategies. Sarah is a senior Physiotherapist and member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.


Sarah completed a Graduate Entry Master of Physiotherapy at Curtin University and has been working in Private Practice at Mundaring Physiotherapy since 2011. Her clinical interests include working with sports people for injury management and to optimise performance, using myofascial therapy, postural re-education and exercise prescription. Dry needling trained. Throughout all of life's stages, this approach can help you to move well and maintain your independence.

Stephanie Cox


Stephanie completed a Bachelor in Applied Science (PHYSIO) at Curtin University, Perth, in 1995. She sought rural physiotherapy posts where she could exercise her skills in a broad range of fields in numerous states in Australia before heading overseas to combine practice and travel. A decade of locum work in the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man gave her the opportunity to work in the NHS Hospitals. Ministry of Defence training centres, and private practices. She developed special interests in chronic pain management, postural retraining, muscle imbalance and women's health.

Steph moved to the Hills in 2005 with her partner and young son and now young daughter. When she's not at work, she might be found bushwalking or Orienteering, playing with her children, tending to her edible garden, being amused by her chickens, or making cheese.




Danny Smith


Danny studied physiotherapy at Curtin University. Since graduating he has gained experience as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in private practice. Danny has experience with a wide range of clients, including motor vehicle accident and work place injuries and NDIS funded clients.

He has done further professional development and is qualified to perform dry needling treatments. Danny has completed a preceptorship training program building on treatment skills in all body areas.

He has a special interest in the areas of strength and conditioning, sports rehabilitation and mental health.

Danny's personal interests include kayaking, camping, hiking, mountain biking, DIY projects, and boating. He is keen  to undertake further post graduate training for strength and conditioning, mental health and pain theory.

Jillian Howell — Mundaring WA — Mundaring Physiotherapy Clinic

Jillian Howell


Jill has worked at the Mundaring Physiotherapy Clinic as one of the clinic support staff since 2011. She enjoys her work, the friendly atmosphere of the clinic and the interaction with patients and their families.


In her spare time Jill enjoys spending time with family and friends, growing her own vegetables, harvesting honey and breeding Dexter cattle with her husband.

Lisa Halse

Lisa recently moved back to the Perth Hills with her husband after a long stint in Kalgoorlie. She is loving the friendly Mundaring community and the beautiful surroundings.

She is looking forward to her new role at Mundaring Physiotherapy Clinic and meeting all the patients and will happily assist your needs.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys candle making and catching up with friends and family and a good coffee.

Kerry den Boer


Kerry has re-joined Mundaring Physiotherapy Clinic after spending time with her husband caravanning around Australia. She is enjoying her time back in the clinic, interacting with patients and staff, always ready to assist when required.


​Kerry is a passionate swimmer, loves gardening, walking the dog and being in the great outdoors.
