PELVIC HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPY
Pelvic Health Physiotherapists manage a range of pelvic floor muscle related issues in both men and women. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist can help you. We perform a thorough assessment and in consultation with you, will design an individualized management plan. You do not need a referral from your GP. If your GP or Specialist refers you for these services, Kirsten will communicate regularly to ensure the best outcomes for you.
* Urinary or bowel leakage
* Having to ‘rush’ to get to the toilet
* Prolapse symptoms - bulge at the vagina, a feeling of something coming down, heaviness or pressure around the pelvis/vagina
* Constipation or difficulty opening your bowels
* If you have had a baby recently and would like to return to exercise, or you are concerned regarding an abdominal muscle separation
* If you are pregnant and experiencing pain in the pelvis
* Painful sex or difficulty with penetration
* Pain within the pelvic area
* Pre and post prostatectomy - it is ideal to see a physiotherapist prior to your surgery
* Pudendal nerve neuropathy
